- Prepare tools:
Prepare cable pliers, cable crystal heads (RJ45 connectors), wire strippers, and network testers. - Cut to appropriate length:
Cut the network cable according to the required distance, but leave some margin to avoid insufficient installation time.
- Peel off the outer skin:
Gently peel off the outer layer of the Ethernet cable using a wire stripper or pliers, revealing 8 fine wires inside. - Sort line order:
Arrange according to T568B line sequence: orange white, orange, green white, blue, blue white, green, brown white, brown. Ensure that the thread ends are neat and avoid crossing or twisting.
- Insert crystal head:
Insert neatly arranged wire ends into RJ45 crystal heads, ensuring that each wire reaches the top of the connector. - Crimson crystal head:
Press the crystal head tightly with network cable pliers, and it will be completed with a “click” sound.
Test connectivity:
Use a network tester to connect both ends and confirm if the signal is normal. If it doesn’t work, recheck the wire sequence and crimping condition.
